Reflection Questions
1. I like how I made him look tired as well as scary looking.
2. At first I wanted to glaze his teeth white so they looked shiny but I painted some of his head after I glazed it, but I couldn't fire the glaze after I painted it... I wish I would have known that....
3. He looks like an evil demon with horns but he is yawning, showing off his blood stained teeth. Sleepiness as well as scariness.
4. He has a round head, its about as big s a softball...
5. I mostly used grey for his head and then pink, white, red, and dark red for his mouth. I used brighter colors for his mouth, mostly because those are the colors of a mouth and so your attention will be drawn to his big pointy teeth.
6. I learned that if part of a body is to thick, it will cack cause when I pulled it out of the kiln... kin...kim...kill... whatever, it had a big crack from his lip to the back of his mouth, so next time im gonna make it thinner in certain places.
7. First, I drew him up, then I got a big wad of clay and cut a deep hole in it after making sure ther weren't any air bubbles in it, Then I molded the hole so it looked like a yawn. Then I put teeth in it, then I molded the horns and drew in the eyes and molded a nose. Then I made ears and put in a tounge. And finally, I fired it. After it was fired, I smoothed out the head and face with a peice of sandpaper. Then I painted it with regular paint and let it dry. Every step, except the crack in his mouth, was planned out and was done perfectly.
